An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Construction Manager to join the project team on a major data centre development in Amsterdam. This is a site-based position.
The successful candidate will take responsibility for the management and delivery of all mechanical installation works on site. This includes overseeing contractors, coordinating with other disciplines, managing programme and quality, and ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification through to commissioning and handover.
• Manage and coordinate all mechanical construction activities on site
• Act as the primary point of contact for mechanical matters with the client, consultants, and subcontractors
• Oversee mechanical subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, to programme, and to the required quality standards
• Coordinate mechanical services with electrical, CSA, and commissioning teams to ensure seamless integration
• Review and implement method statements and risk assessments for mechanical works
• Monitor progress against the construction programme and implement corrective actions where required
• Ensure all mechanical installations comply with design drawings, specifications, and relevant standards
• Support commissioning, testing, and handover activities, including snagging and close-out
• Assist with commercial management, including progress tracking, change management, and input into valuations
• Maintain a strong focus on health, safety, and environmental compliance at all times
• Previous experience in a Mechanical Construction Manager or similar site management role, ideally within data centre or large-scale M&E projects
• Strong background in mechanical building services contracting
• Proven experience managing subcontractors and site teams
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
• Ability to manage programme, quality, and safety on complex projects
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Project
